Colinton & Merchiston Community Choir

Autumn Session 2026 

Our choir rehearsals will start on Monday 7th September 2026, and we will be singing  Mendelssohn’s ‘Vom Himmel Hoch’, Finzi’s ‘In Terra Pax’ and a lovely selection of carols and Christmas arrangements. Our Christmas concert will take place on Monday 7th December 2026 at Merchiston Castle School.

This first rehearsal of the new term will be an open rehearsal so that new members interested in joining the choir can sing with us to try it out. You will be very welcome – why not give it a go? Rehearsals take place in the Memorial Hall, Merchiston Castle School, 294 Colinton Road, Edinburgh EH13 0PU, and our normal starting time is 7.15 pm (until 9.00 pm). Please note on the first evening – Monday 7th September 2026 – we will start at 7.00 pm to hand out new music. 

Returning choir members will have received by e-mail further information, including how to pay the subscription. If you are interested in joining the choir, please contact secretary@colintonchoir.org for further information. You will be made to feel very welcome.

For rehearsals, members should enter from the car park on the right hand side of the main school building – you will be welcomed at the door and directions given to the Memorial Hall where we rehearse. We look forward to seeing you!

Christmas Concert 2026
